IABM at NAB Show 2018

Three key IABM-led events were the IABM NAB Show Voice of the Customer Super Sunday Session entitled "Creative Collaboration – the way forward", our ever popular annual State of the Industry Conference and the IABM Awards & Networking Reception.

IABM roundup from the show

In this session, delegates learnt from IABM’s latest research how this is affecting business and got the inside track on how to move forward successfully.

An interactive panel followed, entitled “It’s Not All About the Cloud”. On the panel were installation experts - all with decades of experience and currently engaged in projects. They discussed what they are missing from suppliers, products and services that they need to realise projects successfully in today’s environment. They also provided their views on the direction that suppliers should be taking and how to partner.

2018 BaM Award winners announced

The winners of IABM’s new Broadcast and Media awards (BaMs™) were announced at IABM’s BaM™ Awards party on 10th April at NAB Show 2018. The winners, across ten new categories described by the BaM™ Content Chain: Creator to Consumer (itself unveiled by IABM at the show) were selected from an initial 100+ high quality submissions.

The judging was carried out by a panel of more than 40 non-affiliated, expert judges, each with specialist expertise in one or more of the awards categories. John Ive, IABM Director of Strategic Insight, who chaired the judging panel, said:

“Changing and updating the awards categories this year has received a tremendous response, not only in quantity but also in the quality and breadth of entries. Traditional products and services still feature strongly but are joined by many applications representing new technologies and business models. The BaM™ Awards represent a real window on the future of the broadcast and media industry.”
